Extra-Curricular
Saint Patrick’s College is keen to promote healthy lifestyles and a lifelong love of sport and physical activity as well as a range of extra-curricular activities. Therefore all pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 participate in Physical Education Classes.
Traditional Irish games are central to our extracurricular life and links have been forged with our local GAA clubs.
In November 2020, we took ownership our new full sized 3G GAA pitch with flood lights and changing rooms which has enhanced the delivery of PE for our pupils. We look forward to the continued development of our sports facilities and further success in sporting competitions at all levels.

We have a strong music department with a range of tuition offered. All pupils study music at Key Stage 3.

The Youth Service supports our year 8 pupils with the transition from Primary to Post-Primary School. Team building days are organised for the beginning of the academic year to ensure our new pupils become familiar with their surroundings and their peers.

We also offer a very busy and enjoyable 2 week summer scheme for our Primary 7 pupils moving into Year 8 along with our current year 8 pupils. Again, this contributes to the smooth transition from Primary to Post-Primary School.
